- January 2018: "Just Duet" the Austin, TX-based ensemble/sketch comedy duo, announces "Clarinet and Percussion pieces I gone and done," an EP of music by Adam D. O'Dell.
- July 2017: Adam presents a lecture, "Biomusicological Perspectives on Music-making" at the 11th World Symposium on Choral Music, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
- April 2017: Adam is commissioned by GRAMMY Award-winning hornist Andrew Pelletier to write a piece for Pelletier's recital at the 2018 Internation Horn Society Festival.
- May 2017: Just Duet premiere's Adam's second installment of "Internet Memes for Clarinet and Percussion" entitled "I;m thinking about thos beans."
- April 2017: Commissioned work "On The Nature of Revolutions" is premiered by the University of Dubuque Wind Ensemble at their "Red, White, And Blue" Concert in the John and Alice Butler Hall of the Heritage Center.
- March 2017: Adam's pieces "Minimal Audience Participation" and "Along the Cold Earth" are featured on the Noise-to-Signal Ensemble Spring tour, including performances at the Indianapolis Artsgarden, Clarke University, and the University of Nebraska-Kearney New Music Festival.
- February 2017: Adam presents "Portraits," a recital of piano music by Bowling Green composers Jake Sandridge, Marilyn Shrude, Richard Arndorfer, and Mavis MacNeil.
- December 2016: Adam's piece "Along The Cold Earth" is accepted for performance at the University of Nebraska-Kearney New Music Festival. The Noise-to-Signal Ensemble will present this work, among others, at the festival.
- December 2016: "O Magnum Mysterium" is premiered by the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Senior Choir, with the composer conducting.
- November 2016: "To Dust" is premiered by the Oklahoma State University Symphonic Orchestra. Thomas Taylor Dickey, conductor.
- October 2016: Adam is commissioned by The University of Dubuque to write the featured work for the University Wind Ensemble's "Red, White, and Blue" concert.
- May 2016: Adam is commissioned by Oklahoma State University to compose a celebratory opener for the University Symphonic Orchestra's "American Landscapes" concert, where he will also be a guest artist and featured lecturer. The piece is written in commemoration of maestro Thomas Taylor Dickey's inaugural season with the orchestra.

- October 2014: Adam's commissioned SSAATTBB a capella work "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" is premiered by the Julien Chamber Choir.
- October 2014: Adam's senior composition recital includes the premieres of flute solo "Yo-yo," clarinet+piano piece "Terminal Velocity," trumpet solo "Beatbox," art song "Sure On This Shining Night," and the final two movements of piano sonata "Echo," among other works.
- September 2014: Adam is commissioned to write a children's chorus piece in honor of the Dubuque Youth Chorale's inaugural season.
- August 2014: Echo is performed by the composer at the 2014 PARMA Music Festival.

- January 2014: Adam's original score for "Oleanna" wins 2nd prize at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region V Design Expo
- October 2013: Adam's piece "Suite for Saxophone and Piano" is premiered at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for their New Music series.
- August 2013: "Marley: A Musical Tragedy" with book and lyrics by Joey Stamp and music and lyrics by Adam D. O'Dell is premiered in New York City at the Cabrini Repertory Theatre's "Thespis Theatre Festival".
- June 2013: Adam is selected as the winner of the 2013 KC Philharmonia Composition Competition. The Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City will be performing "The Black Hills Overture" on October 20th.
- June 2013: PERFORMANCE ANNOUNCEMENT: The Dubuque Symphony Orchestra performs Adam's String Orchestra piece, "Elation", at their summer concert. June 30th, 6:00 p.m. at the Dubuque Arboretum.

- May 2013: Adam's work for SSA Chorus with Soprano Sax and Piano, "Prayer of the Habbakuk", is premiered at the Clarke University Spring Choral Concert, along with a performance of "High Flight" for SATB divisi a capella.
- April 2013: Adam participates in the National Level Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival as a sound designer, presenting his work for "The Glass Menagerie" and designing/scoring a selection from "I Am Not Batman" by Marco Ramirez in the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theatre.

- December 2012: Adam's arrangement of "Be Thou My Vision" for band is premiered by the Clarke University Wind Enesemble at Clarke University's "For a Blessed Christmas" concert under the direction of the composer.
- November 2012: Adam's piece "Time Bending" for solo percussion is premiered at the Clarke University New Music Concert.
- June 2012: Adam participates in the University of Missouri-Kansas City Composition Workshop where his piece "Rhapsody in B Minor" receives its premiere, and his Cello + Piano piece "Fantasie on 3 Fortune Cookies" received a workshopped reading.
- May 2012: Adam's piece "Sunrise" for band is performed at the Iowa Bandmaster's Assocation Festival by the Dubuque Senior High School concert band under the direction of Mr. William Rowley.
